So much for expert recomendation

Just vent on my frustration over our health industry. I'm actually in need of good ENT docs for my daughter. But not sure which doctor to see. As what any mother would feel...I'm a little worried on the diagnosis and recommended action.

My daugther had a little trip to OT late last year for her nose blockage and non stop flu .. The doc stuck a little camera inside her nose and concluded that there's a stone build up inside her nose and she needed an operation. While waiting for the Ops Date, the good docs gaves me some nose spray to use. Guess what when she went into the OT, the so called build up stone is gone. But docs said her air passage is smaller than normal and recomended another ops to fix it! Wousshhh...

I often heard stories and myth that our local docs and hospitals are just too engrossed with making $$ and overlook what's the simplest and really important to the paying patient ... Invasive surgery is always the main option!

Well too bad that I didn't really get good grades for my SPM to qualify me to be a doctor otherwise I can change the world ( yeah rite...)

Anyway I still need to make that appt to get 2nd opinion before anything is cut open and explored further...

P/s KL sure raining heavily as I'm stuck in NKVE jam for good 40min

Journey to the thin and slim teritory.. the begining

It have been years that i pen down " Losing Weight" as part of my yearly to do list.... but some how .. I'm only attracting the opposite... The weight never disappear but some who it manged to redistribute itself to several part of my body...

Meet my arms, oh that's my tummy ... ... you can't never miss my ass ... and there's my thigh....what have happen to my discipline and determination...Is it work to stressful that i ate and ate all the stress away? How do i do it correctly this time?

I'm finally admitting that i'm no longer in my 20's... My metabolic rate is really low now...Dr told me that after certain age our body are not longer producing the correct amount of enzyme to burn my stored fat ( hmmm..thats plenty in me) in to the much required energy..What's that really mean ... i don't really know.. but i need to change it .. for the sake of my health and most importantly fashion!

Lets review my weight chronology:
  • 2000 - 55kg - Just graduated and came back from UK
  • 2003 - 60 kg - Just got married
  • 2005 - 90 kg - 9month pregnant with Arissa
  • 2008 - 65kg - Uneventful year
  • 2010 - 77kg - The year i got the job
Darn... i'm officially obese now...and this post will be the witness to my effort to lose 17 kg by 31st Dec 2010.

First action plan - 'TO COUNT MY CALORIE MAX 1200 PER DAY"
Second action plan - To take stairs from office car park to lobby everyday..

Any advise is very much welcome...

My country My People ?!?!?!

Its been a while since my last post... As usual bz tak abish2 ... Now that ART not around my left brain seems not really functioning ( excuzes excuzes )
I was reading my morning new paper today and its gives me enuff reason to write.

Its an sad news that another NS trainee died in the camp...... My sincerest condolence to the family.... One can only imagine the grief they had to endure. What is interesting about tis is not the loss of a future leader of of nation.... And its not also the fact that more than 3 trainees died in the previous camp..... And its also not the fact that its happening every year..... But the insensitive of 'org berkuasa' on the feeling of the affected family of these student!

" Xxx assured parents that there is no reason for them to be overly alarmed"

What the +@*# is tis guy talking about! I wander if he will be calm if one of his children is in that sme camp

Come on man!!!!!!! Its ridiculus.... A girl died .... There's an outbreak of fever for the past 4 damn days . And the whole camp is under quaranteed!!!!!!!!!

Though my own daughter is still small.... I can imagine I wuld go bonkers if she is in that god dam camp! As parent I can't rely on other to make sure my daughter is being taken care off as well as I would!

I wuld personally buldoze tha camp ( who's clearly un fit to take care of studnet) pull her out immediately....

Well that's my 2 cents worth of thought!

Sometime niat murni will turn disasterous if it not thoughroughly executed! When other human being life is in your care...... Mistake is totally in excusable!

Once again to Hui Min's family..... my condolence.....

Live in Captivity...

Its easy being someone's pet.... ( this includes working + personal life). You'll have everything prepared for you ... no fighting to survive... no bitching about ur fren or office mate... just stay in your 'golden cage' and expect someone to do work for you...Hmmm... imagine being in that life...

Visited one of my favorite place last week... Zoo hehehe... rekindle my animal frens .. to my dismay ... all are not as it was before.... most of my frens are in terrible shape.... the zebra has gone yellowish n grey ... the ostich are practically naked... the camel has wierd neck and bump... the elephant has gone kuku... and my closest reative is now obese!!!!!!!! argghhh what's happening to this place? There are monkeys everywhere and of cuz the sampah follows them as well.

i showed this photo to my real fren... we are arguing if this orang utan is pregnant not fat! Hmmm.. thats a thought but can not be all four of them are pregnant! Hehehe... may be the mgmt has started some kind of in-vitro program to breed more ou??

what ever it is... its really bad......miss the old days...

What it takes to stisfy ur MAN?

Being a gilr is really fun but damn tough as compared to boy. Beauty n grace is no longer enuff to survive in the 21st century. U gotto hv brain n wit n everything else which a man have. I used to believe with 1 ibrain n 7 'nafsu' which god has bestowed upon us will make us better in our life. Or at least my life. I have evolved from a skinny smart kampung girl to a fat career mom. ( But still believe I'm qualify to be a yummy mummy laa.. )
So I grew up a lot. From not doing anything fr myself now I have hubby to care fr and a baby to nuture. Hell is a lot work being a career mum. During the day u work ur ass out to satisfy year bosses. Do this do that when is this due what happen what went wrong arrghhh.. After 700pm. U think its over? Go hme .. Put ur feet up n relax.. Dream on babe... we have to satisfy ur MAN pulaks. Mentally, physically and errrkk sexually?? There are times when u just don't hv the energy to even smiles let alone hv sex. But being a super duper yummy mommy. Just hv to suck it up n open wide. These are the comitment we made when we enter the marriage inc.

So any better ideas ? Suggestion always welcome..

Gud nite ..

Boyz 2 Men

Lately i'v been getting complaints ( more of a request) to update my blog regularly. Hehehe feels good to know that there are some ppl out there who are keen hehe or at least reads my writing. Besides ART... i supposed my latest fan is TIPTOP hehehe u know who you are. So this post is dedicated to him or her lah what ever his or her sexual orientation may be .. i'm cool with it.
I've recently redisover some of my old frends friendship. We kindda lost touch or too bzz to keep in touch after i got married and moved on with my life. ( vice versa) So during our usual lunch gossiping sessions.. we talked about men who behaves likes boys wanna be.
To those whose already married... what do you think of a proper way to court a girl? Where does the invisible lines between hangging out with some gals frend and dating a girl exist? Lets get some imaginary guy asking another gal to hang with him... what to do in tis situation. Being a girl have zillions of advantages la... no one can doubt that. We gal expect the guy to take up some of the responsibilities... for example paying for a movie ticket... buying us drinks and popcorn... holding the theatre door opens for us untill we are safely and comfortabally seated. These are some standard guidelines for you single guy out there if you want to score high in your dates.
This is tricky bit... if for example a guy asked a girl to join him to a concert? Who pays? Hahahah.. i known someone who known some girl who went out with some guy... that left her stranded at the ticket counter while that guy sneaked in without having to pay... this poor gal has to fork unbudgeted sum for the night out. Hahah poor girl... but think about it carefully.. who's to blame? Is it the gal for taking a wrong cue that she's bloody hell not in a date mode! Or can we blame the guy who's shamelessly asked out a gal and found out that she's damn.. not worth his penny...
To ilustrated this pointles story... lets take a real life example... if errrrr susan were to join tip for a party... i would assume susan would not expect tipto take care of her whiny nitty gritty stuff... since they we both on a fren2 get together mode... so we go dutch!
Lets cut my story shot... gals... u have to screen the men you are going out with. Safe bet stays with MAN.... instead of BOY.... Bak kata some one.." Cuci Kaki"
Boys... please know you boundries...Know when you do not have enough resources to take a girkl out to a fancy hotel.. just go hang out at mamak stalls. You'll be damn sure that u won't embarassed your self... and you do not put other ppl in an uncompromising situation. Girls are not for shows ok... we deserve .. no we demand to be treated better. after all we are the fairer sex.
Heheheh .. another pointless story from
Genie..

Whats the big deal?

Malaysia Boleh!!! Thats the tag lines which was so synonymous with us Malaysian.... In any quest no matter how humangous of how microscopic it is.. we always tell ourself that Malaysia Boleh! In a way its a great things for us all... it gives us the patriotic feeling to us all... We are so proud that we are able to accomplish somthing for our great nation...

We have the guy that swan his way accross the english channel... we have the first solo sailing adventures.. we have first asian woman to cross the north pole....we have the best female squash player in the world... we used to have the tallest building in the world.... the longest bridge in asia... also the longest tunnel used for both water and cars. ( which btw has started cracking .. but still safe to use says the govenment...)

Some of this are things which deserve to be sang to whole world. But what the heck .... lets add some more quircky stuff.... like the longest sate... the longest kebab... the biggest flag made of old telephone ??? Dont u things we have way too much of a Malaysia Book of Records? if i'm really bored and have much time to spare.. i would like to create a new record .. the longest TM tower made of recycled handphone.... hehehe... real size one... not the minature one ok! i got reputation to take care...

Just like in the news today...."8,571 dance their way to new record" lead by our beloved tpm wife.... hell yeah!!! Lets make some record which we can really be proud of... muhahahah

So i think for fellows xittm... our next reunion we can easily top this record huh?? So i hope geegerik can organise one survey for the record we should do in our next reunion which worth to be in the book.
hehehe!!

Obsession...

Obsession literally means "the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire " ( from dictionary.com). Depends on what is your obsession...it could be real life hazard or it would be your greatest inspirational motivator.....

Take my ART for example...he's obsess with fishing trip to siam ( forgot where it is now) . So this week was his maximum obsession mood! He'll drag me to each fishing equipment stores there is in Klang Valley. He'll call all the shops both locally and abroad just for price comparison...he'll watch channel 78 persistently for new technique... bought all the magazines... You name it.... Normally he'll complaints about my lengthy shopping trip.. but i guess underneath it alls we are exactly alike... but on a different areas...There is this one shop in Kepong..which we'll loyally visist every weekend. I kindda enjoy this shop the most amongst the others... Let me elaborate on my reasons...

Me and ART have an extremely curious and active daughter. So evertime ART took us to the shop... arissa would mess eveything up to the maximum!! U know this weight thinggy the angle use to make sure the hook did not float! This thinggi comes in many different sizes... so arissa would mix the up... exchanges stuff... which the shop keeper was not really too happy!! So i kindda like this Kepong shop since its next to a bird & fish shop. So while ART bz looking for his supplies.. i'm able to keep arissa bz and occupied with the talking, singging and flying birds and fishes.

As i'm wrapping up this post.. ART is on the way back to KL with two coleman full of big fishes ( he saids the size is bigger than arissa which is 93cm now) I really hope this trip has given him a fix to his obsession

who wants to buy fresh fish... let me know by 26/6/2007
cheers

Traffic Nightmare

6.00am I wander if u know... how to live in tokyo...if u seen it... and u live it you really really know... fust and furious..............Thats the sounds of my daily alarm clock waking me up every morning now... but the Softness of my blankie and the roughess of my arm pilllow (provided by ART of course) is more tempting and more pleasurable to my body .. so my zzzzzzzzzzzzzz continues....
6.30am alin....alin bangun...nanti lambat tak tau!!! ( said myART). Repeating it about a million times.... untill he'll yell ... i give up......
That's my morning ritual every day... tu tak include my arrissa crying for her mommy not to go to work! arghhhh its a real tough battle to fight! Its like i'm getting myself ready for a war! A war agaist traffic jam in KL more precisely... 7.00am I'm ready to go!
War stage 1 : Getting pass Summit USJ to enter NPE
Bloody hell.. on weekend when the traffic is clear it only took me less than 10 min to pass... but now i have to crawl, leech and squeeze myself for more than 30min . where is the lrt when i need one!!!
War stage 2: Getting pass Jalan Pantai Baharu to Jalan Bangsar
Totaly waste of my RM 3.20 paying NPE toll just to find myself stranded again right at the junction to go into Jln Pantai Baharu ( heading toward Menara TM). I've wasted another 20 min here. Untill finally i freed myself into Jalan Bangsar and heading towards Muhameru ( Bukan muhawira) muhahahah..... Tension punya pasai. Time now it already 8.00am
War stage 3 : Getting Jalan Tun Razak towards Jalan Semarak
So many cars to pass... so little time... its crawling the time the ppl from jalan ipoh ( or rather jalan kuching what ever laa) intesect with Jalan Tun Razak. Crawling pass San Peng Flat, crawling all the way up to Jalan Semarak exit. Its already 8.30... if i'm luckyi'll be in office by 8.20. so i can pass War stage 4.
War Stage 4: Getting going the lift heading towards 18th Floor.
Normally if i'm unlucky i've to wait another 10 min untill i'm safely in the lift heading towards my desk. Reason being... all the staff arrived at the same time... and the lift is bloody slow! I guess not a chance for speed movie....
Welll... thats the trauma now... every morning... i've to syc myself up.. not to be too touble by this whole mess! I blame the government for failing to prepare a better public trasport for myself. I blame other KLite for insisting of being so self centered and refuse to car poll eventhough u live next to each other and heading for the same way. ( My neighbour and me for example) Last and not least ... i blame my self for taking this job in the fist place and not being paid high enough to enable myself to hire a diver ( like keme)
To be continue.... with my jorney back nightmare........
Miserable and miss my arissa and art!
cheers

New View New Sight

Its been ages since last time i wrote here...I guess i'm too buzzy getting my life sorted out. So for information.. after almost 7 years i've stayed in TM....... i have finally make one baby step out of the company.

Welcome to real world.. i said to my self. Its my one week anniversary at my new place now. So far i hope i have understood many things which needed to be understand! And i truely feel that things are in a great big mess! I can find the info needed to get at the tip of my finger. For first time after so many years working i felt really lost and many things are out of my control. I suppose not too worry too much since i guess time will direct me to get better hold of my stuff.

The huge challage is now for me to manage people under me? Can i really give a clear direction which people can follow ? Will i be able to control te situation better with them? Or can i really mange people at all??? Hahagaha... only time will tell! I just do what i did best for the time being!

And by the way... i still have many post vancant under my supervision. Particularly for event management group. So if any one of u have an experience managing event pls send me ur cv... who knows... we can continue our working relationship better than we can under our friendship role?? ( it don't make sense at all right?

One of the toughest action which i have to do now is to wake up at 6.00am everyday just to beat the traffic jam. I guess that the price i have to pay for my new found liberation???

All in good hand in good time.
Cheers

Fishing Frenzy!!!

Lately ART's fishing addiction has become worse.... he even willing to give up his weekend footbal/futsal for it! Thats serious..... He started off by going to local ponds like the one in Port Klang and Sentul.... hehe i can still bring my books and went off with him..
Then he went father to P.Pankor... P.9 ... for Jenahak and Siakap.... i didn't go lah.. since ART said the boat is too small... can only fit 3 angler... ( yeah right?!) Anyway i don't really mind... since everytime he'll brought tones of fresh fishes for me to feast on... even though i only know how to fry it... ( outsourced to my maid actually)

ART fishing frenzy went further up to Yan, Kedah... going after some Tenggiri he said.... Yeah... he brught back 5-6 pieces of 3Kg tenggiri... muahahahahaha... the catwoman is back... we ate nothing but fish for a good 3 month....
From far north ... ART shoot down to Jeli or mersing... ( which ever laa.. since i'm not too sure where).... hahaha... he bough home (Pilahdalphea) a x-large coleman full of ikan kembong! and 2 pies of shark! ( anak ajer) I really don't know how to skin that fish.... its skin is thick as an elephant skin... i tried peeling it off... sort of peeling off a banana skin... FAILED! The i tried the peeling off mango style... again FAILED.... finally i tried the peel off patato skin style... still failed but somehow i managed to get rid of that skin.... the fish now looks like a piece of wood....so if anyone got any idea on how to skin a shark.. letme kno...

ART latest addiction now is Koa Adang... to those who fails ur geo class... that's in Thailand...Normally he would only be gone 2D1N.... but no...no.. no... this time he has to spend 4D3N..... Well what can i say.... with a fridge full off fish.... and my ART came back healthy and happy.... at least he's not going after 'chicken'.....

So all and all... i must say this hobby i must support to keep him happy, healthy and more loving to me... muaahhhhh.

Next trip .... Burma Bank? Gilo ko kau jang oiii!!!
Love....Sally

Why Women Cry.....

I'm not a poet to begin with.. but i do feed my soul with some touchy dowey feely stuff sometimes. Just to appreciate some people's gift of writing beautiful words of wisdom. Being able to pen down your thoughts are a great gift.. which i don't have apprantly.. ..

But i'm happy to say that sometimes i appreciate it.. this is one of those stuff which i think is beautiful... as a daughter, wife, mother and a woman.. i never thought of my tears can be describe so delicately as this..

.... too bad i didn't kno who wrote it...

***********************************************************************************

A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?" "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"
God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed.
" You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."
-The End-
