My English Garden

Since i moved into my putra height home... surprisingly i've picked up a weired hobby... GARDERNING... when i was small girl.. my mom used to be crazy about flowers.. she planted some beautiful flowers and tendered them so well till many ppl asked to buy them from her.. of course she refused to sell them..

it started off when me and babe were looking for some grass to cover up our tiny front lawn... heheh. At first we thought it would be simpler just to hire someone to plant it... heheh i called one of this bloody 'gee' race guy... and he asked for RM 400 to cover the tiny lawn of ours.. its crazy man... such a waste of money...

Then babe took me to sg buloh where it all started.... we purchased philipines grass for rm 1.60 a piece. we bought 20 pieces...and i bought some climbers, petunia and some species of keladi...bought some soil and organic fertilizer as well... so we did the lawn ourself.. and it turns our great. ( for the price which we paid..)

Since then i started to add few things like more flowers.. stones... garden furniture... pasu bunga and some other things....

i'll share some more pic soon

TM... opening up possibility....

Yuuhooo....

My earlier post was a bit serious ... yea laa kan.. people are suffering tak kan you want to joke about it? We are still reading the news about the flood thinggi.. alhamdulilah.. some of the sites already cleared. But the worst it not over yet for those people... They still need to recover from the disaster ... The rubbish are now piling, their houses are ruin, and most of their belongings are badly damaged. Children looks sadly at their damaged schools books and toys.... while parents worried about how on earth they going to replaces all that were lost.

Friends in need....

Alamak... got into the serious zone again.. This post i feel like sharing this picture. It really makes me smiled.. not just because i'm TM staff but the message behind it. TM's new tag line to matching sangat laa dgn gambar nie... heheh.. i'm sure many ppl will disagree with me..

TM's new tag line is .....Opening up possibility. In good time, TM invested millions in high tech infra to 'open up possibility' of new tech applications and usage to their customers. TM lay out infra at the most 'chorok' place in our country, where other telcos will not even consider investing in those area.. just to open up possibility of communication and link up the rural folks to morden lifestyle. And in bad time, where all this technology/modern communication lifestyle mumbo jumbo is useless ( or can not be use ) , TM customers can still use their phone booth to safe lives (while waiting for actual help of course). This picture crystallizing that no matter what happen, TM sill useful to you!! Muahahaha.... Try climbing TNB tower masa banjir... tak ke mati kene karan! Kalau nak climb Time punya phone booth...heheh .. sakit bontot laa sbb too runching at the top. Any how... thats how i feel...

Comment plzzz....

Man against Mother Nature

Asalammualaikum Semua...

Last week ( still on now) , our friends down south are facing the wrath of mother nature..." Banjir". Most of us must have read the extend of damage caused by extremely heavy rain ... some said it was the heaviest rains Johor had encountered over the past 100 years. The heavy rainfall was brought by strong winds from the South China Sea and western part of the Pacific Ocean, the after-effect of Typhoon Utor which hit the Philippines recently.

Those affected families were left with the very basic necessity. Luxuries was washed away by water, electricity was cut, no internet access, no shopping center, let alone entertainment. They had to face the risk of diseases, lose wild animals ( crocs) and even death. While we were comfortably sitting in our air-condition living room, sipping hot milo , watching the news from our newly purchased Sony Bravia LCD TV 32'.... ohhhing our sympathy of their misery. How does it help them, i asked myself..... its up to you to do something about it....

Wasalam....

Happy Feet

**swiping off the dust of this blog**

Hello there...

I've been not busy lately... that's why i've no idea on what kind of interesting stuff that's worth sharing with u guys. My great ideas only came when i'm busy as hell or i'm under preassure.

Oh well... after almost 2 years break from Cinema ( since Arrissa was -2month old) I got a chance to break the record. It was a movie day with the client actually, organised by my department, where TM's customer's got chance to bring their family to watch this movie and its all paid for. So i took Arissa to watch ...."Happy Feet" . So its kindda first movie experience for her.. I'm a bit worried if she started to act out during the movie and disturbing others... It would be embrassing won't it? Since the whole theather is booked by TM .. who cares?

So we got the back seat... free popcorn and coke...Then the light went off as the movie started... A few kids started crying... nasib baik Arissa was kindda cool with it... with her tiny little hand reaching for the pop corn box , she's concentrating on the big screen.. I wonder whats going on in her tiny litte head.

So back to the movie...It was such a cool movie with a very impressive message. I didn't know that it was the dady penguin job to keep the egg warm and waits for it to hatch while the mommy goes on a long march to the water to get food for the baby. Hehehe... it would be nice to see some human daddy does all the pregnancy stuff for a change. Oh and another one... Penguin can really swim fast! and they sing and they dance?? hehee...

But it was the irony of our humanity which was brilliantly portrayed in this movie, about how we must follows what is right in our culture and society. To be different than the norm would mean you're an outcast and be frowned upon. That what happens to Mumble . Just like when i'm i n boarding school... where we has to endure 1 week of orientation with our seniors. For juniors who can sing... you're ok.. you'll be the favourite amongs the seniors. But for juniors like me.. who only know the necessary songs like Negaraku.. bintang seni and barely sings it well.. we were forced to do other stuff.. which i can no longer remember.

But my favourite scene is still the penguins doing the 'boogie wanderland' its groovy babey! Who know watching fat penguins dances to the boogie tunes would be a sight worth watching.

On the last note.. i guess what makes this movie different that what our Malaysian film makers are serving us , is that the really simple formula of an outcast hero goes on a world saving journey (just like any other movie) but the way it manages to touch on the impact of humans on the environment, our tendency to fear and blames others for anything that goes wrong in our society and blends it beautifully with the great tune of the past. This is what makes Happy Feet great.

Perhaps in our next trip to the Zoo, we'll stop and observe the penguins and think whey are seems so dazed when they had everything they needed...

By the way... Arissa dozed off half way through the movie...
